Baxter Road In Wildomar Scene Of Police Activity

Baxter Road in Wildomar was the scene of police activity Friday night, but details of what happened are sketchy at press time.

Several witnesses reported seeing many police cars at Baxter and Porras roads shortly after 7 p.m.

As of 9 p.m., a white Mercedes is crashed on the sidewalk and blocking part of Porras Road, but no police are on scene.

Earlier in the day, a 24-year-old man was arrested at the nearby area of Susan Drive and Poplar Crest Court in Wildomar.

Richard Raymond Angels, a parolee, was taken into custody at approximately 3 p.m. and booked into Southwest Detention Center for receiving stolen property, committing a felony while on bail, a parole violation, being under the influence of a controlled substance, driving at a speed greater than 100 mph, and a failure to appear, according to jail records.

It is unclear if the Baxter Road incident is connected to Angels’ arrest.
