Cooking Fire In Lake Elsinore Claims One Pet

A residential fire in Lake Elsinore has left two people displaced and one dead pet, according to a Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department news release.

The fire at 32630 San Miguel Street was reported at 7:33 p.m. Tuesday, and by 8 p.m. the blaze was knocked down, the report stated.

No one was injured in the fire, but Animal Control was called out for a pet that did not survive.

Two adults were displaced to due fire and smoke damage; the blaze caused $120,000 in structure damages, according to the release.

Fire officials determined the blaze was caused by a cooking mishap.
