A two-vehicle crash in Lake Elsinore Tuesday night caused one injury and a road closure.

The crash involving a sedan and van was reported at 7:21 p.m. on Railroad Canyon Road at Church Road. Eastbound traffic was completely shut down on Railroad Canyon at Summerhill Drive, but was reopened within the hour.

Westbound traffic continued to flow, although police were controlling it.

The sedan was still in the roadway following the collision, but the van went over the side of Railroad Canyon.

One person was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries, according to a report from sheriff's Sgt. Nathan Kaas.

People drive way too fast on that road! I am sorry for those injured and hope they will be okay...

I couldn't find anywhere in the article that stated speed was a factor.

Railroad Canyon is a freeway, people drive recklessly and way to fast on this curvy road. Way to many accidents in Lake Elsinore, I agree with Kim, SLOW DOWN
