Crash On Railroad Canyon Road Slows Morning Commute

According to Cheri Patterson, spokeswoman for Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department, the rollover crash involving a van was reported on eastbound Railroad Canyon Road at 6:10 a.m., just west of Church Street.

A solo-vehicle crash early Thursday morning on Railroad Canyon Road in Lake Elsinore slowed traffic on the busy road.

According to Cheri Patterson, spokeswoman for Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department, the rollover crash involving a van was reported on eastbound Railroad Canyon Road at 6:10 a.m., just west of Church Road.

A male victim was trapped in the vehicle, so it took first responders “time on scene” to extricate him, Patterson explained.

The man was transported to a local hospital with moderate injuries; no other injuries were reported.

It’s unclear what caused the crash, which remains under investigation.

As of press time the wreckage has been cleared from the roadway, Patterson said.
