Crash Snarls Traffic On Ortega Highway

A two-vehicle crash on the Ortega Highway Tuesday morning snarled the morning commute but there was only one minor injury reported.

According to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department spokesman Mark Annas, the crash was reported at 5:51 a.m., just east of the Lookout Roadhouse near Lake Elsinore.

One person sustained minor injuries, Annas said.

The California Highway Patrol was on scene along with Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department crews, and several Patch readers reported that traffic was stopped as responders worked to clear the scene.
