Deputies Shoot Alleged Domestic Violence Suspect In Lakeland Village

The shooting took place Monday morning in the 33000 block of Olive Tree Lane in Lakeland Village.

A suspect who may have been involved in a domestic dispute was shot by police Monday morning in the 33000 block of Olive Tree Lane in Lakeland Village.

According to Deputy Alberto Martinez of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, the shooting occurred around 9:30 a.m. Deputies had been called to the scene about 45 minutes prior to reports of domestic violence, Martinez said.

One suspect was wounded by police gunfire but Martinez said the injuries were non-life threatening. There were no injuries to deputies, and at press time there are no reports of any other injuries.
