Dirt Bike Rider Rescued In Cleveland National Forest

The unidentified rider was hoisted out by helicopter.

A dirt bike rider was injured Monday when he crashed in the Cleveland National Forest near Corona and was flown out to a hospital for treatment, according to a report from the fire department.

Firefighters received a call at 12:16 p.m. about the crash. The helicopter crew that was called out spotted the rider and hoisted him up with moderate injuries, Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department spokesman Mark Annas reported.

According to the report, 15 firefighters and 4 engines were also called to the scene.

It's not clear what caused the crash.
