I can't believe Temecula hasn't built one of those round about exits that does not have to stop at a light, but continually allows freeway exit traffic to merge onto Winchester with no stopping.

I remember when there were only a few cars using the 15 as a raceway prior to the the population growth. Winchester is the worst exit...i always take another exit and go around to avoid that line up to the split...it is a dangerous area and should be avoided until the County approves to do something about it. My heart goes out to the victim/victims. Big rigs on the 15 do not always follow the truck lanes laws except for passing and that makes it tough. As a truckers ex wife, i know the difficulty of cars trying to push and pass trucks. I pray for the families and think its time for all residents to contact the Riverside Board of Supervisors to complain and request action to start avoiding all the devestation that occurs. I have witnessed road rage where a man got out of his car and was going up to cars in front of him and ready to fight because they weren't moving! Like anyone could move because of his rage....time for change to accomodate the population we have here now.

This whole area has a horrible infrastructure problem with its lousy road system. If there were more side roads that locals could use to get to Winchester, it would help alleviate the buildup at that exit. The city fathers all seem to look the other way in regard to this problem.

This sound like a texting or some other distraction caused accident, I don't think he drifted off the side into that truck because of bad freeway planning...

This interchange is a total disaster and who do we have to thank for it, the environmentalist of course. The reason that this interchange has never been up-graded is because where the southbound off-ramps and the northbound on ramps cross the creek is hallowed ground to the environmentalist for some critter or other. This has caused the city, county and state to have to dream up some kind of alternate fix for this area that they have been talking about for over 20 years that I know of. Right now they are working on the I-15 / SR-79S Ultimate Interchange which is mediocre fix at best.
