FBI and Sheriff's Deputies Arrest Perris Man on Child Molestation Charges

Police say the man was booked into the Murrieta jail on charges of child annoying and oral copulation with a minor under the age of 10 years old.

A Perris man suspected of sexually abusing several children and distributing child pornography was being held Friday in lieu of $1 million bail.

Mark David Wade, 36, was arrested on suspicion of lewd and lascivious acts on a child under 14 and sodomy of a child under 10.

According to Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Glenn Williams, a joint local and federal investigation culminated in a search warrant being served at Wade's Ironwood Lane residence around 10 a.m. Thursday.

Williams said the warrant was based on allegations that "sexual assaults had occurred" on the premises.

The alleged victims were not identified because of their ages. Their relationship to the suspect, if any, was also not disclosed.

Wade was taken into custody without incident after evidence was seized at the house, according to Williams.

"Wade is also facing federal charges for the distribution of child pornography," he said.

Wade was booked into the Southwest Detention Center in Murrieta.
