Female Juvenile Arrested In Lake Elsinore Carjacking

An 18-year-old Lake Elsinore man who said he was carjacked at knifepoint Wednesday morning helped lead police to a suspect, a sheriff’s sergeant is reporting.

The suspected carjacker turned out to be an underage girl, according to Sgt. Marc Cloutier who serves out of the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station.

The alleged carjacking at Cork Tree Road and Cedar Mesa Drive in Canyon Hills was reported to the Lake Elsinore Police Department at approximately 11 a.m. on Nov. 13 following a 911 call for help.

Although the victim was able to provide only limited information about the suspect, officers continued the investigation into the night and at approximately 9 a.m. Thursday spotted the victim’s vehicle parked on Corte Rivera in Tuscany Hills, according to Cloutier’s report.    

“Additional investigation led to the identity, location and arrest of a female juvenile suspect,” the sergeant reported. “The vehicle was undamaged and released to the victim.”

The girl’s identity was not made available due to her status as a minor.
