UPDATE: Fire Breaks Out In La Cresta
At press time, the blaze, which broke out shortly before 3 p.m. Tuesday, has scorched a quarter acre.
UPDATE at 4 p.m.: The fire is fully contained as of 3:20 p.m. Tuesday. No injuries were reported and their were no reports of damage to nearby homes or outbuildings. CHP is reporting the big rig that caught fire is blocking traffic on Calle Centro; crews are working to move the vehicle as soon as possible. According to reports from CHP, the equipment needed to tow the burnt-out rig won't be available until approximately 6:30 p.m.

According to unconfirmed reports, the blaze was sparked by a vehicle fire near Calle Centro and Avenida La Cresta. The vehicle involved is believed to be a big rig.
