Fire Engulfs Lake Elsinore Home

A fire at a Lake Elsinore home early Wednesday morning is under investigation.
The blaze was reported at 3:58 a.m. on Machado Street near Grant Drive.
“[The] first-arriving engine company reported a single story, single family dwelling well involved with fire,” reported Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson.

The home was unoccupied and no injuries were reported.
Twenty firefighters and six engines battled the blaze, which took approximately 35 minutes to knock down, according to Hendrickson’s report.

Firefighters remained on scene until approximately 6:30 a.m. to mop up and salvage, the spokeswoman said.
As with all fires, the incident is under investigation.
