Fire damaged a Lake Elsinore home Thursday.

Dispatchers received a call at 4:48 p.m. and sent firefighters to the 25300 block of Marie Street, where light smoke was seen coming from a bedroom window, Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Jennifer Fuhrman said.

The fire was contained in less than 20 minutes and no injuries were reported. A cause was under investigation, Fuhrman said.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Lakeland Village is a census-designated place (CDP) in Riverside County, California, United States. The population was 11,541 at the 2010 census, more than double the 5,626 reported at the 2000 census. A census designated place is a concentration of population identified by the United States Census Bureau for statistical purposes. CDPs are delineated for each decennial census as the statistical counterparts of incorporated places, such as cities, towns, and villages. CDPs are populated areas that lack separate municipal government, but which otherwise physically resemble incorporated places.
