A 51-year-motorcyclist has succumbed to injuries he sustained this morning during a crash at the intersection of Lakeshore Drive and Torn Ranch Road in Lake Elsinore, the Riverside County Coroner’s Office is reporting.

The crash involving motorcyclist Jose Garcia of Fontana and a sedan was reported at approximately 7:40 a.m. Garcia was transported to Inland Valley Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 8:20 a.m., according to the coroner’s office.

The sole occupant of the sedan, a man in his 20s, was unhurt, according to a report from the Lake Elsinore Police Department.

Again that moment will forever be with me and I have found it terribly difficult to think of anything other than my drive to work that morning and the feeling of helplessness!! The sadness, loss of life and family he left behind even though he was a stranger to me! I wish I could have done more than make a phone call to 911 and wait for help. He was only a car length or two ahead of me when that car came out!! I am so very sorry for your loss!!

Thank you to everyone who posted your condolences on this article regarding my beloved uncle, Jose "Pichel" Garcia. He was a good man, a tower of strength in my life. As a boy, he always looked out for me, and as an adult, gave me such laughter with his wit. Earlier this year, we lost my grandmother, his mother. I recall how she would stay awake past midnight waiting for Pichel to come home, how she worried for him. I feel she just needed his company in Heaven. I will miss his great smile and laugh, but most of all his unconditional love and free spirit. God bless everyone who was a part of his life and for those who posted. Jeff McCarthy, thank you for allowing us to have a shrine in front of your home, and to Sandy Keys, thank you for the comfort in your thoughts, you are in my prayers. You did all you could and I hope that the memory of your witnessing this tragic moment will be forgotten. We all can find peace in our Lord Jesus Christ. In the good book, John 14:27 says, Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. In John 16:33 it also states, I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” I hope these verses help. Jose's services will be held this Friday December 13, 2013 from 4-9 PM. Preciado Funeral Home 923 W. Mill Street San Bernardino, CA 92410 Telephone: (909) 383-1108
