Hiker Flown to Hospital from Lake Elsinore Trail After Suffering Breathing Problems

A hiker suffered breathing problems Sunday during a trek near Canyon Hills Community Park in Lake Elsinore and was flown out.

Dispatchers received a 911 call shortly after 11 a.m. about the hiker who was in a remote area of Canyon Hills. A helicopter crew spotted the hiker and flew person to a waiting ambulance north of Canyon Hills Road and Hillside Drive, the Riverside County Fire Department reported.

The hiker whose gender or age was not disclosed was taken to a hospital, Cal Fire spokeswoman Jody Hagemann said.
