Home Invasion Robbery Reported in Lake Elsinore, Female Suspect Sought

Lake Elsinore police say that a woman took off with the resident's car and other property.

A woman robbed another woman in her residence and stole her car in Lake Elsinore today, a sheriff's sergeant said.

The robbery was reported about 10:40 a.m. in the 31000 block of Illinois Street. The victim told deputies that a woman entered the house through the back door, threatened her and took several items, including her car keys, sheriff's Sgt. Linda Maria Hughes said.

The woman drove off in the victim's Toyota Scion XB, followed by a man driving an older-model black BMW with paper dealer plates, Hughes said.

The victim's car is gray, with license plate number 5YVA516. A description of the suspects wasn't provided.
