House Fire Leaves 2 Homeless on Eureka Street

The Saturday afternoon fire started in the attic, firefighters said.

It took 19 firefighters 42 minutes to put out flames in the attic of a single-story Lake Elsinore home Saturday, a Riverside County Fire Department spokesman said.

The fire was reported at 5:23 p.m. in an approximately 3,300-square-foot home in the 13900 block of Eureka Street, according to Riverside County Fire Department spokesman Mark Annas.

“The fire was contained at 6:05 p.m. to the attic,” Annas said. “Two adults were displaced by the fire. No injuries were reported.”
