Lake Elsinore Area Woman Arrested On Suspicion Of Assault With A Deadly Weapon
Sheriff Report said woman was threatening suicide in unincorporated area of Goodhope.
A woman was arrested Sunday evening on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after Riverside County Sheriffs found the woman holding a knife to her throat in a suicide attempt.
On Sunday at 5:07 AM, deputies were sent to a residence located in the 23000 block of Cowie Avenue, located in the unincorporated county area of Goodhope, after a stabbing.
Upon arriving on scene, deputies confronted suspect Alma Delia Rios, 18, who was holding a large knife to her throat and threatening suicide, a Sheriff’s report said. When negotiations failed, a Taser device was utilized to briefly incapacitate Rios. Rios was disarmed and taken into custody without further incident.

A male victim was also located at the scene with a single stab wound to the back of his head. Rios was positively identified as the suspect responsible for causing the injury.
The victim's injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening. He was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation and medical treatment. Rios was subsequently booked at the Southwest Detention Center.
