Lake Elsinore Fugitive Sex Offender Arrested; Facing Charges In Texas And California

Sylvester Nathan Larrabee, 54, was arrested Feb. 16 at Pete Schabarum Regional Park in Rowland heights after being stopped for a traffic violation.

A Lake Elsinore registered sex offender who was wanted in Texas and California has been nabbed in Los Angeles County.

Sylvester Nathan Larrabee, 54, was arrested Feb. 16 at Pete Schabarum Regional Park in Rowland Heights after being stopped for a traffic violation.

According to a sheriff’s department report, a deputy spotted Larrabee in the park and stopped him on a traffic violation. After running a warrant check, Deputy Jeanette Freeman discovered that the Lake Elsinore man was a registered sex offender wanted in El Paso, Texas, for the alleged kidnapping and sexual assault of two teenage victims.

A further check for arrest warrants on Larrabee revealed a felony warrant issued by Pomona Court for a 1984 alleged felony sexual battery in the San Gabriel Valley.

Larrabee was arrested and booked for the arrest warrants at the Walnut Sheriff's Station in Los Angeles County.

No bail is allowed for the Texas warrant; the warrant issued by Pomona Court has a $250,000 bail.

Larrabee is awaiting trial in Pomona Court and extradition to El Paso, Texas.
