Lake Elsinore Man Killed In Crash

Blane Kirby, 47, died at the scene when the 1983 Ford truck he was driving crashed Feb. 13.

Rancho Cucamonga police are investigating the death of a Lake Elsinore man who was killed in a crash.

Blane Kirby, 47, died at the scene when the 1983 Ford truck he was driving crashed Feb. 13.

According to a San Bernardino Coroner’s report, Kirby was driving a 1983 Ford Boom Truck on the southbound off ramp of the 15 Freeway at Jurupa Street in Ontario when he struck a 2003 Toyota Corolla from behind that was stopped at the red light in the left turn lane of the off ramp.

“The boom truck continued forward across Jurupa Street and struck two other semi trucks that were stopped in the eastbound lane at the intersection,” according to the coroner’s report.

Kirby was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
