Lake Elsinore Man Stopped In His Neighborhood For Loitering, Arrested For Drugs

Ralph Thompson, 49, was stopped Sept. 11 around 1 p.m. in the 17000 block of Browley Street by a patrol officer from the Lake Elsinore Police Department.

A Lake Elsinore man who police say looked "suspicious" while he was "loitering" in his own neighborhood, has been arrested for alleged drug possession.

Ralph Thompson, 49, was stopped Sept. 11 around 1 p.m. in the 17000 block of Browley Street by a patrol officer from the Lake Elsinore Police Department. 

According to a written report from Sgt. Marc Cloutier of the department, Thompson was on probation when he was stopped so police searched his home.

Thompson "lived on the street and was on active county probation for a recent conviction," Cloutier's report stated.

During the search of Thompson's home, "illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia" were found, the sergeant continued in his report.

Thompson was booked into Southwest Detention Center in French Valley.
