Lake Elsinore Meth Bust Leads To Four Arrests

The arrests included Larry Jones, 48, of Lake Elsinore, Kimberly Bell, 44, of Lake Elsinore, Chad Nelson, 37, of Riverside, and Brittany Adkins, 24, of Riverside.

Four people were collared in Lake Elsinore and Wildomar for drugs and booked into jail Monday, police are reporting.

Larry Jones, 48, of Lake Elsinore, Kimberly Bell, 44, of Lake Elsinore, Chad Nelson, 37, of Riverside, and Brittany Adkins, 24, of Riverside, were all arrested in a related case stemming from a late-night traffic stop, police are alleging.

At approximately 11:50 p.m. Sunday, officers from the Lake Elsinore Police Department pulled over Jones for an equipment violation at the intersection of Riverside and Lakeshore drives, according to a report from Sgt. David Sanches of the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station.

During the stop, it was determined Jones was under the influence of drugs, the sergeant stated. Jones was arrested at the scene and the vehicle was searched.

“Officers located a large quantity of methamphetamine and cash in the vehicle. The driver was then charged with possession for sales and transportation of methamphetamines,” Sgt. Sanches reported.

Jones is being held at the Southwest Justice Center on $50,000 bail.

During further investigation, deputies conducted two searches in Wildomar and Lake Elsinore, the sergeant said.

At a residence located at 15215 Washington Ave. in Lake Elsinore, deputies contacted Bell, Nelson, and Adkins “and found additional evidence related to the drug sales,” the sergeant continued.  

Bell was arrested for possession of methamphetamine for sales and transportation of methamphetamine. She is being held at the Robert Presley Detention Center on $25,000 bail.

Nelson and Adkins were arrested for being under the influence of methamphetamine; both were cited for a misdemeanor and released after being booked.
