Lake Elsinore Police Chase Ends In 2 Arrests

Rodney Rice and Edward "Ricky" Parks were both arrested early Friday morning.

Two men who fled from police early Friday morning in Lake Elsinore have been captured.

Rodney Rice, 21, of Canyon Lake, and Edward "Ricky" Parks, 47, a transient, were both arrested by deputies in the predawn hours following a chase that ended near LA Fitness on Dexter Avenue, according to sheriff's Sgt. David Cardoza.

The incident began around 2:15 a.m. when an officer on patrol observed a Toyota truck getting gassed up in the 29300 block of Central Avenue in Lake Elsinore, Cardoza reported.

The officer conducted a records check on the truck's license plate, and it revealed it was reported stolen out of the city of Menifee, according to the sergeant.
