Lake Elsinore Police Seek Victims Of Alleged Fraudster

The Lake Elsinore Police Department is continuing to investigate Reynaldo Rodriguez and is searching for any additional victims.

A man who allegedly “posed” as a construction worker is being accused by police of conning unsuspecting customers, and more potential victims are being sought by detectives.

Reynaldo Rodriguez, 31, was arrested Dec. 10 at 10:30 a.m. on Riverside Drive at Joy Street and booked on suspicion of 20 felony charges, including residential burglary, diversion of funds, committing crimes against a senior/or child under 14, and probation violation, jail records show.

According to Lt. Zach Hall of the Lake Elsinore Police Department, the alleged fraud totals more than $80,000.

“Once a quote was provided and monies were paid, Rodriguez either completed very little work or no work at all,” Hall reported. “Rodriguez conducted business under the name ‘R&R Construction’ or ‘Ray’s Hardscapes.’”

Rodriguez was booked into Southwest Detention Center and is being held on $250,000 bail, jail records show.

The Lake Elsinore Police Department is continuing to investigate Rodriguez and is searching for any additional victims.
