Lake Elsinore Residential Fire Contained In Minutes

A fire at a single-story residence in Lake Elsinore was contained to just one room last night, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

The non-injury blaze at 1109 Buchanan Street was reported at 9:05 p.m. Friday, department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson said. She added that when firefighters arrived on scene, they reported light smoke coming from the residence.

Four engines and 13 firefighters tackled the blaze.

“Due to aggressive firefighter efforts, the fire was contained to a room and its contents at approximately 9:15 p.m.,” Hendrickson reported.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
