Lake Elsinore Road Closures Due To Simulated Fatal Crash

Road closures in Lake Elsinore near Temescal Canyon High School were put in place Wednesday morning as part of that school’s Every 15 Minutes program, which educates students about the dangers and ramifications of driving under the influence.
Road closures include portions of El Toro Road and Dexter Avenue and are expected through approximately noon today. Detours are provided in the area and police are on scene.
The grant-funded Every 15 Minutes is an elaborate two-day event that will include a simulated fatal crash, arrests by sworn police officers, next of kin notifications, mock arraignment, and more.
