LEUSD School Bus Service Affected By Railroad Canyon Crash

Some LEUSD kids will arrive home a little late today due a road closure.

A fatal crash that has caused the closure of westbound Railroad Canyon Road in Lake Elsinore Friday is affecting school bus service this afternoon. TO GET THE LATEST ON THE CRASH AND CLOSURE. THE CRASH DID NOT INVOLVE AN LEUSD SCHOOL BUS.

According to an emailed statement from Lake Elsinore Unified School District spokesman Mark Dennis, affected schools sent out emergency telephone calls to households alerting them to the closure and to expect delays in bus transportation today.

The affected schools include: Temescal Canyon High School, Canyon Lake Middle School, Tuscany Hills Elementary and Cottonwood Canyon Elementary. These schools serve students who live in Canyon Lake, Canyon Estates, Tuscany Hills, and surrounding areas.

I tried to go to murietta st to Bundy but the road was backed up on murietta from canyon hills rd so I had to turn back around because it was bumper to bumper at 2: 30pm, the whole area is backed up what s nitemare!

Perspective. I am thankful to be stuck in traffic, rather than being a family member of the accident victim. Our inconvenience, is someones tragedy. Prayers to the family.
