“He just vanished,” Roberts said. “He left his cell phone and his iPad. He doesn’t have any clothes.”

Roberts, his two daughters, along with Anton and his mother, were visiting friends in Anaheim over the weekend. The family used to live in Lake Elsinore but now resides in Clayton, Calif., near Walnut Creek.

Anton was allowed to catch up with buddies in Lake Elsinore, but when it was time to pick him up Sunday he was gone, Roberts said.

Anton was last seen at 6 p.m. Sunday, Roberts said.

A missing person report was filed at approximately 11 p.m. Monday night, according to Cpl. Angel Ramos of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Ramos said foul play is not suspected.

Roberts said he believes his stepson disappeared with a minor who may be driving a 2001 black Lincoln, license plate number 6RWF846.

“I am worried they are trying to get him to join a gang,” Roberts said, noting that through the search process he has been troubled by what he’s seeing on his stepson’s friends’ Facebook pages.

“These kids are out and about – pills, weapons,” he said. “Parents need to be aware.”

Roberts said he is hearing that area youth are planning a big party Friday in the Quail Valley area, and he thinks Anton might be headed there.

“We just don’t know,” he said.

Anton is described as Hispanic with a thin build, weighing 110 pounds and 5’5” tall. He has an olive complexion, and short/medium black hair that he wears spiked or brushed straight forward, a flyer states.

He was last seen wearing gray shorts, a dark gray T-shirt, and a navy blue Lake Elsinore Little League All Star jacket with gold lettering. He was also wearing a diamond-like earring in each ear and white sunglasses.

Anyone with information on the teen’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department at 951-776-1099.
