Main Street Gas Held Up By Armed Robbers; Police On The Hunt

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding two armed robbers who allegedly held up a gas station in Lake Elsinore Monday night.

The armed robbery was reported at 9:09 p.m. at Main Street Gas located at 301 N. Main Street.

“Officers arrived within minutes (of receiving the call), however the suspects had already fled the scene,” according to a report from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station.

Per the report, two men entered the station’s store wearing black bandanas that covered their faces. One of the robbers pulled out a handgun and demanded cash from the clerk. The two suspects then fled with an undisclosed amount of money in a gray Dodge Intrepid that may have had damage to the passenger side front fender, according to the police report. No other information was provided on the vehicle.

The suspects are described as black adult males, one being about 6’ to 6’2” tall with a thin build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black gloves. The other suspect is described as about 5’7” to 5’10” tall, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, white T-shirt, blue pants and black gloves.
