Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting 10-year-old at Unlicensed Lake Elsinore Day Care

A 38-year-old Lake Elsinore man was jailed Friday in connection to the sexual assault of a young child at a local day care facility and it's believed more victims are out there, police said.

The man, identified as Ebelio DeLeon, lives at a home in the 200 block of North Langstaff Street, which was illegally being used as a child care center, according to Sheriff's Sergeant Todd Pauling.

DeLeon was arrested July 9 after police identified him as the suspect in a June 30 sexual assault on a child under 10-years-old, Pauling reported Friday.  Now, authorities say there may be more victims.

"Because the residence was used as an unlicensed day care facility, the Lake Elsinore Police Department believes there is a possibility of more victims," Pauling said.  "The Lake Elsinore Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying these victims."

If you have information about this investigation, you're asked to call Detective Ryan Deanne at the Lake Elsinore Police Department at (951) 245-3300 or after hours at (951) 776-1099.

As for DeLeon, he is currently jailed at the Southwest Detention Center on $1 million bail, according to jail records.

Those records show he's being held on four felony charges which include: two charges of lewd acts on a child under 14, oral copulation with a child under 10 and sexual penetration upon a child under 14.   A court date was set for Aug. 16.
