Man Arrested For Exposing Himself To Schoolchildren

A Lake Elsinore man was arrested this morning for exposing his genitals to children at a bus stop, according to police.

Robert Dirk Johnson, 39, was picked up after witnesses reported he pulled down his shorts in front of a group of schoolchildren around 7:20 a.m. at a bus stop in the area of Laguna Avenue and Riverside Drive, according to a report from Sgt. John Kaiser of the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station.

Witnesses said Johnson fled the scene, but two adults who saw the incident provided information that helped police locate the suspect inside a house in the 15000 block of Darnell Drive.

Johnson was taken into custody and was later booked at the Southwest Detention Center for indecent exposure and annoying children under 18.
