Man Found Dead Near Train Tracks

Corona resident David Chatelain, 57, was found Sunday, according to the coroner's office.

A Corona man was found dead near train tracks in the city, the coroner’s office is reporting.

David Chatelain, 57, was found Sunday, approximately 300 feet west of the tracks’ mile marker 29 in Corona, the Riverside County Coroner’s Office reported.

The office reports Chatelain’s time of death as noon Sunday but his time of injury is “unknown.”

An investigation is being conducted by the Corona Police Department.

No cause of death has been listed.

According to a Press-Enterprise report, a Corona police lieutenant said the death does not appear to involve foul play and it's possible that Chatelain may have been struck by a train.
