UPDATED: Man Rescued by Helicopter in Wildomar

A man pedaling on his mountain bicycle crashed on a remote Wildomar trail and was lifted to safety by a helicopter crew, a fire spokesman said.

Firefighters received a call at 11:48 a.m. and went to the Wildomar Truck Trail about a mile up from Calle De Lobo, Riverside County Fire Department spokesman Mark Annas said.

The man suffered moderate injuries and was flown out to a hospital for treatment, Annas said. His name was not released.
