Man Run Over By Tractor-Trailer In Lake Elsinore

"Traffic investigators have reason to believe that the victim may have been intoxicated and elected to sleep on the curb next to a tractor-trailer, which possibly injured him when it drove off," said Sgt. P. Giannakakos.

A man who sustained major lower-body injuries Friday may have been run over by a tractor-trailer police say.

The injured Hispanic man, whose name has not been released by authorities, was found lying on the curb early Friday morning across from the Travel Inn on Auto Center Drive in Lake Elisnore.

“Traffic investigators have reason to believe that the victim may have been intoxicated and elected to sleep on the curb next to a tractor-trailer, which possibly injured him when it drove off,” said Sgt. P. Giannakakos of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. “At this time, the driver of the trailer is not a suspect and is sought only for informational purposes to complete the investigation.”
