Thats right Crystal...where I live people don't find themselves in knife fights of any kind. We're civil, intelligent and talk things out. No one has to deal with 'defending' themselves with a deadly weapon.I hope that some day you get the chance to get out of there and see how the rest of the world lives. No, this is not the norm.

IGNORANCE must be very blissfull. . . . . I'm so very happy and content knowing that crime exists everywhere cat. This knoweledge is what keeps my family and me safe.....also locking my doors at night, not walking through a dark parking lot alone, keeping close watch on my children, and not talking to strangers keeps me safe too! =)

Knowledge is what keeps me safe as well..... but we don't have to even lock our doors at night if we don't want to. Everyone knows everyone else, we can walk alone at night & kids can play freely where ever they want to & not have to worry about drug addicts, molesters, graffitti, gang bangers, bank robbers, dead fish & unhappy strangers. It is VERY nice & you should just travel around to the "good parts" of this country & see for yourself. Then you can make a sincere comparison without all your bitterness. There's really no need to be angry & crabby towards me. I invite you to go find these things out for yourself.... but if you don't want to , I can certainly understand that too. Ignorance is bliss....that I agree with.
