Update: At-risk Teen Found Following Massive Search

Searchers are thanking the public for the help they received.

Update:
David Soto has been found safe.

Wildomar Police officers responded to a call about a prowler in the 21000 block of Amethyst at 5:30 p.m. It was David.

Following a brief medical exam, he was reunited with his family.

The police and sheriff's departments thank everyone involved in the search for their help.

Friday, 3:30 p.m.:

Riverside County Sheriff's deputies are searching on the ground, from the air, and with the help of a tracking dog to find a mentally challenged teen who was reported missing Friday morning.

According to a release from the sheriff's department, David Soto, 19, was last seen in his Wildomar home at 2:30 this morning. He was reported missing at 7:30.

Wildomar Police are asking for the public's help in finding him. David is 6 feet tall, 130 pounds, and was last seen wearing blue sweat pants and sandals. He has the mental capacity of a 15-year-old. David usually wears a GPS tracking device but it had been removed for maintenance.

According to DailySoCal.com, the focus of he search is on the vicinity of McVicker Street, "At least 10 or more units are on scene, with a canine unit searching the surrounding area, and a sheriff’s helicopter circling overhead." Click here to see a full gallery of photos from the scene.
