Six people were arrested for drunken driving during an overnight checkpoint deputies set up in Menifee, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
Two of the motorists flunked the sobriety test for drugs while the four remaining drivers failed the test for alcohol. They were among 12 drivers who were tested during the operation that began Saturday night throughout the city of Menifee, the sheriff's department reported.
Fifteen vehicles were pulled over as sheriff's deputies patrolled the streets looking for suspected drunken drivers. Two motorists were cited for driving with a suspended license, and six vehicles were impounded and towed, according to sheriff's authorities.
