Menifee Home Invasion Suspects Sought By Police

"The victim was confronted by the suspects and verbally threatened," according to a sheriff's sergeant.

Intruders who allegedly forced their way into a Menifee home Monday night while the resident was in bed are being sought by police, a sheriff's sergeant is reporting.

At approximately 8:36 p.m., officers with the Menifee Police Department received a call regarding the alleged home invasion in the 27000 block of Covington Way.

"Officers arrived in minutes and began their investigation," according to a report from sheriff's Sgt. Chris Durham.

The person at the home was in bed when unknown intruders forced entry into the residence, the report continued.

"The victim was confronted by the suspects and verbally threatened," Durham reported. "The victim was not harmed, and the suspects fled prior to the officers’ arrival."

An extensive police search of the area  was conducted but the suspects were not located. Descriptions of the intruders have not been provided.
