Missing Lakeland Village Man Found Safe Easter Sunday

Lakeland Village resident Matthew Jacob Humphreys, 18, was reported missing by his sister at approximately 2:30 a.m. Easter Sunday.

It was a happy ending Easter Sunday for a family whose autistic brother went missing.

Lakeland Village resident Matthew Jacob Humphreys, 18, was reported missing by his sister at approximately 2:30 a.m. Easter Sunday.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 16700 block of Grand Avenue in Lakeland Village, where Humphreys’ sister reported that the young man had been missing for approximately six hours.

According to family members, Humphreys was diagnosed with autism and was possibly at risk.

A bloodhound was used to search for Humphreys and he was eventually later located several miles away.

He was reported to be in good health and was reunited with concerned family members.
