No Injuries or Damage at 2-Acre Fire in Wildomar

The Saturday-afternoon fire west of I-15 was contained in about 20 minutes

A vegetation fire that broke out at the intersection of Palomar Street and Clinton Keith Road Saturday afternoon was quickly contained by firefighters, according to the Riverside County Fire Department. No injuries or damage were reported.

The fire spread across approximately two acres and was reported at 12:43 p.m. Five engine companies and 16 firefighters contained the blaze by 1:04 p.m., and crews are expected to remain at the scene through late Saturday afternoon to mop up, according to the fire department.

Also responding to the fire were the Murrieta Fire Protection District and Pechanga Fire Department. The cause is under investigation.
