Parolee From Lake Elsinore Arrested In Wildomar Following Burglary

James Anthony Washburn, 31, of Lake Elsinore is behind bars.

A parolee suspected of using a woman's stolen debit card was caught Saturday at a vacant Wildomar home and arrested, a sergeant said.

Sheriff's deputies Friday discovered a homeowner's car had been burglarized and told the victim to call her bank about the loss of several credit cards. The bank then told the victim that her debit card had just been used at a local business in Wildomar, Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Marc Cloutier said.

Deputies drove to the location and recognized the suspect as James Anthony Washburn, 31, of Lake Elsinore, upon seeing a surveillance video. A citizen flagged down patrolling deputies today and directed them to a vacant home on Vine Street in Wildomar where a squatter matching Washburn's description was seen, Cloutier said.
