A parolee suspected in a Canyon Lake home burglary is behind bars.
Adrian Rodriguez, 25, of Hemet was arrested Tuesday afternoon in the unincorporated area known as Good Hope after investigators who were conducting a parole search found him sitting in a parked vehicle with a loaded firearm and stolen property, according to Sgt. Ryan Hoxmeier of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Also arrested at the scene in the 24000 Block of Sophie Street was Rodriguez’s passenger, Francisco Rodriguez, 27, of Hemet. According to Hoxmeier, he was taken into custody for being under the influence of a controlled substance.
Adrian Rodriguez was booked into jail for receiving stolen property and possession of a firearm that turned out to be stolen, according to Hoxmeier. He was also booked for violating probation and being under the influence of a controlled substance, jail records show. He is due to appear in court Thursday.
It is not clear if the two suspects are related.
The sergeant said the property recovered during Tuesday’s investigation was from two separate residential burglaries that had occurred in Canyon Lake and Hemet.
