A pedestrian struck by a minivan was seriously injured Saturday, prompting investigators probing the crash to shut down westbound Clinton Keith Road for a time, officials said.
The crash was reported just before 6 a.m. in Wildomar at Clinton Keith Road, near Iodine Springs Road, according to Riverside County sheriff's Deputy Joshua Morales.
The pedestrian suffered major head trauma and was taken to nearby Inland Valley Medical Center, the deputy told Patch.
The Riverside County Coroner's office was notified that the pedestrian could die, an investigator told Patch.
The windshield on the driver's side of the white, dry-cleaning company vehicle sustained extensive damage, Patch learned at the scene.
Westbound traffic was diverted all morning.
