A man suspected of firing a shotgun at an occupied home in Lake Mathews was arrested, a sergeant said Saturday.

Sheriff's deputies received a call at 3:19 p.m. Friday about the shotgun blast and went to the 22000 block of Rolling Meadows Drive.

No one was struck by the gunfire, but a truck parked in front of the home was hit.

By 6 p.m., deputies located the suspect, David Paul Rytych, 45, of Lake Mathews, at a Pansy Street location and arrested him, Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Ralph Rico said.

Rytych was identified by the victim and the shotgun he was suspected of firing was found at the location and seized, Rico said.

Deputies said they would seek felony charges against Rytych for shooting at an inhabited dwelling, and a misdemeanor charge of drunken driving. He remained jailed Saturday in lieu of $50,000 bail, records showed.

No motive for the shooting was disclosed.
