On Friday, January 13, 2012 at 4:08 P.M. a patrol deputy from the Lake Elsinore Station observed a silver Honda Civic on a dirt access road in the area of Cox Street and Ellis Road, in the unincorporated area known as Good Hope. The driver of the Honda made an abrupt turn as if trying to avoid being seen by the deputy. The deputy located the vehicle abandoned with a flat tire on the dirt road and detained Jack Dean Everhart, 34 years old from Hemet, who was nearby for further investigation.

About that same time, a victim called dispatch to report the above-mentioned silver Honda stolen from a nearby shopping mall in the 29300 block of Central Avenue, Lake Elsinore. The investigation revealed the car was stolen from the shopping mall, driven to the location of the recovery and the custom wheels were removed and replaced with spare tires and wheels. The custom wheels were recovered nearby. The vehicle and the custom wheels were returned to the victim. Everhart was booked into the Southwest Detention Center for 10851 VC, Auto Theft, 496 PC, Possession of Stolen Property, 12022.1 Commit a Felony while on Bail, 1203.2 PC, Violation of Probation.

  Details:

On Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 5:30 PM, officers from the Lake Elsinore Police Department responded to a report of a hit and run traffic collision in the area of Dexter and Central (SR-74). It was reported that a white Nissan sedan struck another vehicle and fled the area. While en-route officers spotted the white Nissan which attempted to leave the area at a high rate of speed. The vehicle jumped the curb at Main St. and Pottery St. The vehicle struck a tree and a small water main. The driver fled on foot and eluded capture.

After further investigation officers responded to the 32000 block of Celeste Way, Wildomar. There officers were able to identify and arrest the driver of the white Nissan. The driver was Felipe Rivera, 22 years old. He was transported and booked into the Southwest Justice Center for the following charges: hit and run, driving under the influence and obstructing/delaying a peace officer.

Details:

On Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 5:46 P.M, officers from the Wildomar Police Department were dispatched to an armed robbery that had just occurred at a video store in the 33900 block of Mission Trail, Wildomar.

An unidentified suspect entered the business, simulated a handgun and demanded money. The victim gave the suspect an undetermined amount of cash and the suspect fled the location.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned male, unknown age or race, about 5'8" tall, last seen wearing a grey sweatshirt and a bandana covering his face.

The Wildomar Police Department is conducting an ongoing investigation into this incident. Any person with information pertaining to this incident, or any other incident are encouraged to contact the Wildomar Police Department at 951 -245 -3300.
