On Friday, January 27, at 3:05 A.M., the Lake Elsinore Police Department responded to a burglary at a business in the 29300 block of Village Parkway, Lake Elsinore. The suspects were unidentified but the crime was captured on a surveillance video. The video showed two male suspects, one a white male adult in his fifties who was with a large white dog with distinctive brown markings. The suspects gained entry into the business and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. This video was shown to officers during briefing to be on the lookout for the white male with his dog.

On Friday, February 24, 2012, about 7:48 P.M. an officer stopped a white male adult who was with a white dog with brown markings on Mission Trail and Elberta Street, Wildomar. The officers reviewed the video and discovered the subject and his dog were the subjects in the surveillance video committing the crime. The suspect was identified as David Earl Hachee, 53 years old, from Wildomar. Hachee was arrested and booked into the Southwest Detention Center for 459 P.C., Burglary.

On Monday, February 27, 2012 at 09:50 P.M., officers from the Lake Elsinore Police Department responded to a report of a traffic collision in the area of Railroad Canyon Road and Church Road in the city of Lake Elsinore.

The investigation determined a black Chevrolet Silverado truck was traveling east on Railroad Canyon Road and struck the center median causing the rear passenger side tire to snap off the axle. The truck continued across the center median and westbound lanes of Railroad Canyon Road before coming to a stop. No other vehicles or property was damaged as a result of this collision.

The driver and sole occupant, Efrain Hurtado, 37 years old from Lake Elsinore, was not injured. Mr. Hurtado was determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol and was arrested at the scene. Mr. Hurtado was booked into the Southwest Detention Center.
