08/10/11 Felony Warrant:  Officers contacted Kenneth Graham (age 40 of Lake Elsinore) on the 200 block of Riley and arrested him for an outstanding drug warrant.   L112220036 

 

08/11/11 Burglary/Conspiracy:  Officers responded to Walmart regarding two detained shoplifters and arrested Amanda Chow (age 20 of Lake Elsinore) and a female juvenile for burglary.  L112230061   12/8/11 UPDATE: In September, Chow entered a guilty plea for her crime, which was dropped to an infraction. She has paid her court fines.

 

08/12/11 Possession of Stolen Property:  Officers received a Lojack hit in the area of I15 x Diamond and after locating the vehicle arrested Stephen Ryan (age 44 of Corona) and Dustin Napolitano (age 28 of Lake Elsinore) for possession of stolen property.   L112240038

 

08/13/11 Public Intoxication:  Officers responded to the Walmart parking lot regarding a man down call and arrested Kyle Davenport (age 21 of Temecula) for being drunk in public.   L112250006   

 

 08/14/11 Assault with a Deadly Weapon:  Officers responded to an assault call on the 32000 block of Riverside Dr. and arrested Lynn Justesen (age 48 of Lake Elsinore) for assault with a deadly weapon.   L112260079

Details:

On Sunday, August 14, 2011, 0448 hours officers from the Lake Elsinore Police Department responded to a report of a single vehicle traffic collision at the intersection of Summer Hill and Canyon Estates.

The driver and sole occupant, Nicholas Morreale 22 years old from Murrieta, was southbound Summer Hill, and lost control of his 1997 Dodge truck approximately 200 feet from the intersection. The truck then collided with a traffic signal pole at the southeast corner of Summer Hill and Canyon Estates.

Lake Elsinore City Works responded for the damaged traffic signal pole.

As the result of the investigation, Morreale was arrested for driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage.

Details:

On Sunday, August 14, 2011 at 1515 hours, officers from the Wildomar Police Department responded to an injury traffic collision at Clinton Keith and Palomar. It was reported a pick-up truck and motorcycle were involved. Officers arrived on scene and saw there was a badly injured motorcyclist. The motorcyclist was immediately transported to Inland Valley hospital via ambulance. The motorcyclist died later at the hospital as a result of his injuries. The driver of the pick-up was contacted at the scene and detained. Further investigation revealed the driver of the pick-up was under the influence of alcohol. The motorcyclist's name is being withheld pending notification of family.

Arrested was Jose Lujan, 30 years old, of Vista, San Diego County. He is being charged with, driving under the influence and gross vehicular manslaughter.

Details: On Sunday, August 14, 2011, at 7:10 AM, officers and paramedics were dispatched to the above location reference a report of an assault with a deadly weapon. The weapon used was a vehicle.  Upon arriving on scene, officers located an injured male victim (age 29). The victim told officers he was involved in a verbal argument when intentionally struck by a vehicle driven by Barry Lewis Needham (age 57), a resident of Lake Elsinore. Needham fled the scene, prior to the arrival of officers. The victim sustained moderate injuries as a result of the incident. He received medical aid from paramedics at the scene and was later transported to Inland Valley Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment.  At 12:10 PM, officers located the suspect vehicle parked outside a residence in the 200 block of Graham Avenue, located in the city of Lake Elsinore. With the assistance of officers assigned to the Lake Elsinore Police Department, Needham was located and subsequently arrested without incident. He was later booked at the Southwest Detention Center in French Valley.  The Wildomar Police Department is conducting an ongoing investigation regarding this assault.
