12/14/11 Misdemeanor Warrant:  Officers contacted Deborah Pacheco (age 51 of Lake Elsinore) on the 100 block of Graham and arrested her for an outstanding DUI warrant.   L113480083

12/16/11 Possession of Methamphetamine:  Officers contacted David Whinnery (age 21 of Murrieta) in the Target parking lot and arrested him on numerous drug charges.   L113500114 

Possession of a Controlled Substance:  Officers contacted Sara Waldrop (age 22 of Lake Elsinore) and Maria Tontz (age 20 of Lake Elsinore) at Target; Waldrop was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and Tontz was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.   L113500093
 

12/17/11 Domestic Violence:  Officers responded to a domestic violence call on the 41000 block of Marquise and arrested Gabriela Martinez (age 31 of Lake Elsinore) on numerous charges including domestic violence and vandalism.   L113510008

12/18/11 Burglary:  Officers responded to a suspicious person call near Riverside x Collier and arrested Jeremy Smith (age 23 of Fullerton) for a burglary of Home Depot.   L113520035

 

12/19/11 Possession of Methamphetamine:  Officers contacted Angela Teresi (age 32 of San Jacinto), Heather Robinson (age 32 of Lake Elsinore), Bobbie Adams (age 41 of Riverside) and Steven Earles (age 40 of Lake Elsinore) at the Travel Inn and arrested them for drug possession.   L113530004   

 

12/20/11 Parole Violation:  Officers contacted Shaun Murrillo (age 30 of Lake Elsinore) on the 32000 block of Rome Hill and arrested him for violation of parole.   L113540037

Checkpoint Results:

The Lake Elsinore Police Department conducted a DUI/Driver’s License Checkpoint on December 17, 2011 as part of the City of Lake Elsinore's commitment to public safety. This checkpoint was one of many that have been or will be conducted throughout the year in the city. The checkpoint was located on Lake Street and Lakeshore Drive in the city of Lake Elsinore. The goal of the DUI Checkpoint was to remove impaired and suspended drivers from the roadway and raise public awareness of the dangers of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

Arrested for driving under the influence:

  • Kevin Garner, age 21 of Lake Elsinore
  • Ronald King, age 70 of Lake Elsinore
  • 701 Vehicles passed through the checkpoint
  • 19 Vehicles were diverted to secondary screening
  • 6 Persons were given field sobriety tests
  • 2 DUI suspects were arrested
  • 7 Vehicles stored or impounded for 30 days
  • 6 Unlicensed and suspended drivers sent to court

Alcohol and drug impaired driving causes serious injuries and deaths that have marred recent holiday celebrations. The Lake Elsinore Police Department is committed to working aggressively to reduce the incidence of needless tragedy that accompanies any alcohol related collision.

The checkpoint was funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Report Drunk Drivers – Call 9-1-1!

12/19/11 DUI with Injury:  Officers responded to a traffic collision on the 34000 block of The Farm and arrested Tyler Johnson (age 21 of Murrieta) for driving under the influence.   WI113530001
