Police Chase Leads To Arrest In Tuscany Hills Neighborhood

An armed homeowner in the neighborhood fired one shot before the suspect was arrested.

Shots were fired but no one was injured in a Lake Elsinore neighborhood police chase that resulted in one arrest.

According to a Lake Elsinore police station report, on Feb. 6 Anaheim resident Aaron Reaume, 31, was arrested in the Tuscany Hills neighborhood for two outstanding felony warrants out of Orange County.

His arrest came after a police pursuit through the neighborhood.

According to the police report, the chase began after a Lake Elsinore officer conducted a stop on Bella Donaci for a vehicle code violation.

As the vehicle came to a stop, the driver exited and ran east through several backyards of nearby residences, the report stated.

As the suspect entered the backyard of a residence on Plaza Avila, he was confronted by a homeowner who was armed with a firearm.

The homeowner fired one shot in the air to scare off the suspect, the report stated.

The suspect ran off and was located by officers hiding in a backyard on Plaza Avila.

An investigation into the discharge of the firearm was conducted and no charges will be filed.
