Police Seek 'Armed And Dangerous' Suspect Who Robbed Lake Elsinore Convenience Store

The store clerk, who was not hurt during the incident, reported an armed subject, carrying what appeared to be a sawed-off shotgun.

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding an "armed and dangerous" suspect who used a sawed-off shotgun to hold up an am/pm store in Lake Elsinore early Friday morning.

According to a news release, at 3 a.m. this morning the Lake Elsinore Police Department responded to an armed robbery in progress at the am/pm store located at 250 Diamond Drive.

The store clerk, who was not hurt during the incident, reported an armed subject, carrying what appeared to be a sawed-off shotgun.

The suspect entered the store demanding money and cigarettes; he escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash and three packs of cigarettes, according to the release.

The suspect is described as a thin male approximately 6’2” in height, wearing a black stocking-style mask, a brown short-sleeved shirt over what appeared to be gray long-sleeved shirt, blue shorts with white stripes, white knee high socks and black Chuck Taylor sneakers.

The Lake Elsinore Police Department is conducting an ongoing investigation into this crime and is calling the suspect “armed and dangerous.”
